Challenge:
The Thermoplast packaging machine is not used on a regular basis so the customer only lubricated "as needed" in between operations. However, due to the hard-to-reach location of the lube points, manual lubrication was a time-consuming process often resulting in lube points being missed.
Solution:
A 6-Point MEMOLUB Lubrication system, using a 24VDC-PLC controlled lubricator was positioned conveniently to service all six points. Using the machine's already-installed PLC controller, the lubricator only operates when the PLC calls for it. The company saved hundreds, annually, in material and labor hours.
