Case Study No. 402  Industry: Steel, Aluminum, Glass & Plastic Application: Cranes & Hoists Issue: Difficult access to the runway and dangerous conditions resulted in infrequent manual lubrication of the runway rails. Wheel flanges and sections of rail were severly damaged and in need of replacement. Solution: A MEMOLUB 2-Point Splitter System with a Model 480 lubricator was mounted on each side of the bridge, and lines were run to a grease applicator under the girders to coat both sides of the runway rail. Each lubricator is accessible from the catwalk for easy and convenient cartridge changeout, twice a year. |
