Background:
This steel mill operating 24/7 was manually lubricating the conveyor bearings.
Challenge:
The daily manual lubrication procedure on the conveyor bearings were time consuming and often forgotten due to the inaccessibility and harsh environment.
Solution:
The 350psi output pressure of the MEMOLUB® HPS 480 allowed the lubricators to be mounted in a safe location outside the guarding with lube lines running to the bearings.
Results:
The MEMOLUB® provided continuous supply of lubricant to each bearing which reduced production downtime, bearing failures man hours.

They used braided rubber hose to prevent damage to the lube lines in the harsh environment.
