The MEMOLUB® Power-Through MEMO is used exclusively with the MEMOLUB® PLCD model lubricator. Unlike standard MEMO units that rely on mechanical timing rings to determine lubrication frequency, the Power-Through MEMO receives electrical power from an external source, such as a PLC (Programmable Logic Controller), which determines when a lubrication cycle should occur.
MEMOLUB® Power-Through MEMO
How the Power-Through MEMO Connects to the MEMOLUB® PLCD
The Power-Through MEMO creates a direct electrical connection between your PLC and the MEMOLUB® PLCD lubricator—enabling fully programmable lubrication with no timing rings.
Electrical Connection
- PLCD Lubricator Contact Pins
Two contact pins on the bottom of the MEMOLUB® PLCD align with conductive rings inside the MEMO. - Power-Through MEMO Rings
The MEMO’s black ring holder contains two internal contact rings connected to a 2-wire cable that receives 24V DC from your PLC. - Automatic Activation
When the PLCD is screwed onto the MEMO, the pins and rings make contact. A pulse from the PLC completes the circuit, triggering one lubrication stroke.
MEMOLUB® PLCD: Volumetric Settings
Each MEMOLUB® PLCD lubricator comes with a set of stroke-limiting washers that let you control how much lubricant is dispensed with each cycle. This gives you the flexibility to adjust the output to match your specific needs.
- With no washers installed, the unit delivers 0.6 cm³ of lubricant per cycle.
- Each washer you add slightly reduces the amount—by 0.04 cm³ per washer.
- You can use up to 8 washers total, including a special locking washer that holds the others in place.
- If you're only using one washer, make sure it's the locking washer.
